The association of public organizations of St.Petersburg and Leningrad region “Great Bear” was founded by members of directorate of association of security firms “Zaschita” and began its activity on the 14th of March, 2000. The main activity of the Association is supporting veterans of World War II, veterans of labour and military veterans; as well as supporting members of families of servicemen fallen while on duty; pupils of children’s homes and orphans of military schools; young sportsmen and handicapped children; children from low-income families. The leaders of the association "Great Bear" realize the social Council that includes representatives of the administrations of St.Petersburg and Leningrad region, of power forces, business circles, creative intellectuals, mass-media and social organizations. Programming of the charity work, preparation and carrying out the charity programmes are organized by the board of directors of the association.Every year more than 250 charity actions for about 10 thousand people are planned and held by charity organizations of the Association. |
